Start With A Named Pro
Open the page of someone you know—or, once live listings are available, find a participating professional. You see the business, services, work area, and availability before you request anything.

Your Request Goes To That Business
It is not sold to a group or automatically routed to whoever is available. The professional you chose receives it and decides whether the work fits their schedule and service area.

Read What They Are Proposing
The business name, the address, exactly what they will do, and the price. Optional extras are listed separately and start unticked, so nothing is in your total that you did not put there.

Confirm Whether It Repeats—Separately
A repeating service is a second agreement, shown in its own block with its own box. The box starts empty — nothing is ticked on your behalf, and a one-time job does not turn into a schedule by itself. Until you tick it, the accept button does not work.

Accept, Ask, Or Decline
Nothing is scheduled and nothing is charged until you accept. If something is unclear, you ask the pro directly — you are talking to the business, not to a support queue.

Keep The Job In One Place
Check the supported service record and payment status the way you and the pro arranged. You can skip or stop future visits yourself and share that exact professional if you choose.
One-Time And Repeating Are Two Agreements
What Repeats, Repeats Because You Said So.
- A One-Time Job Happens Once
- When it is finished, it is finished. Nothing renews, nothing reappears on a calendar, and a one-time job never quietly becomes a schedule.
- A Repeating Service Says All Of It In One Place
- Who is coming, exactly what they will do, the price of each visit, how often it repeats — every week, every two weeks, every month, on a named day — the date of the next visit, and how to stop. Those details appear together, before anyone accepts, not spread across a confirmation email and a settings screen.
- The Repeat Is Its Own Confirmation
- It is never preselected, never inferred from a one-time job, and never folded into the price line. There is a separate box, it starts empty, and until it is ticked the agreement cannot be accepted.
- Stopping Is Not A Negotiation
- Skip a single visit, or stop future visits, whenever you want. Nothing is charged for stopping and nobody has to be phoned to do it.

Each of these is a decision recorded in the product, not a promise made on a marketing page. If one of them ever stops being true, this page is wrong and should be fixed.
- Do I need an account?
- Not for a one-off action. You can use the secure link your pro sent without creating a password or downloading anything. A free account is available when you want every property, pro, and scheduled service together in My Services.
- Does ProByName charge me anything?
- No. Not a booking fee, not a service fee, not a percentage of your job, and not a membership. You pay the pro the price on the quote.
- Can ProByName send a different pro instead?
- No. You chose a specific business. If they cannot continue, ProByName must not book another professional in their place. The provider-unavailable panel above is a concept for preserving that choice, not a live replacement workflow.
- What if I only want the job done once?
- Then it happens once. A one-time job has no repeat block to tick, and it cannot turn into a schedule later without a new agreement you accept.
- Where can I use this?
- The directory is intended to be available nationwide and across legitimate service categories. Each professional states the areas they actually serve. ProByName does not claim nationwide supply or specialized workflow support for every category.
